Brake Inspection
Once a year, or every 12,000 miles, brake inspections are advised. A Shirehampton Motors specialist will examine the brake system and other important components and give you a written report of their findings. The condition of the braking components that affect system performance and the recommendations made by the manufacturer of your vehicle will both be taken into account.

Brake Fluid Change
Your car slows down when you press down on the brake pedal because hydraulic fluid rushes to each brake. Hydraulic brake fluid accumulates moisture and other impurities over time, which can have a significant impact on braking performance. Your Shirehampton Motors specialist will check the hydraulic fluid’s boiling point, and moisture content, and tell you whether it needs to be changed during service.
If necessary, we replace the hydraulic fluid in the brake system with new fluid that meets or exceeds the manufacturer’s guidelines.
